The spacioust car museum of the world is located in the near to the border town Mulhouse. On 18,000 sqm more than 400 vehicles are awaiting the visitor, among others the lavishst Bugatti-collection of the world (130 exhibits, among them 2 Royale).
The founders of the collection, Fritz and Hans Schlumpf, plied a textile dominion in the Elsaß. Their interest in classic cars became a real addiction. After the collection was illegaly restored with company money and the company bankrupted in 1976 the collection has been confiscated by the french state. Six years later the till after date private collection was made accessible to the public.
The pictures only give a small insight into the huge fund.
