FIAT 850 Sport Coupé - 1965

One of the most popular Coupés of automotive history (350,000 units), the Sport Coupé was based on the million seller Fiat 850. It delighted customers with its moderate purchase price and its classy, sporty road performance. In parallel with the Coupé there was also a spyder version. The Sport Coupé was built in three series. The models with more powerful performance can be recognized by the dual head lights and a different rear light design.

The design came from 'Fiat Centro Stile' founder Mario Felice Boano, who formerly had been designer and joint owner of Ghia. His best known conception: VW Karmann Ghia.

Walter Röhrl started his career in 1968 with a Fiat 850 Coupé. 12 Jahre later he became the world champion rally driver - also in a Fiat - the 131 rally.
