FIAT 2300 Coupé - 1961

Actually Fiat started the 60's in 1959. With a totally new developed 6-cylinder the large displacement car classes were being reconquered. The engine being brought to 2.3 litre displacement by a lavish bore two years later prepared the ground for the luxury Coupé coming to market in 1961: the Fiat 2300 S Coupé.
The car designed by Ghia pointed out the following years. Nothing reminded one of the curved forms of the passed decade. Elegance now was fused with clarity and modern straightness. A particular characteristic: the breezy-easy vault with its enormous glass areas.
The 6 cylinder engine also emphasised the claim of this fascinating Coupé to be ahead of the average. It produced 136 bhp and accelerated the car to more than 190 km/h (118 mph). Anyway the technology meets very dignified requirements. So all wheels were configurated with brake discs and even an automatic gear was optional.

Only 3,500 were produced and a handful as convertibles.
